CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist manufacturer of bathroom and wetroom solutions for both domestic and commercial projects. We are assisting them in recruiting a CAD Designer to join their design team as they develop a new range of flat packed bathroom pods and expand their product offering. This is a full-time, office-based role with involvement across product development, technical design and project delivery.
The role will focus on producing accurate 2D and 3D designs for bathroom layouts, wetroom systems and associated components. You will work closely with internal teams across innovation, sales, manufacturing and installation to support ongoing project work, including refurb schemes where products must fit existing GA drawings without modification. The position offers long-term progression, with the expectation that you can develop into a senior designer and later a design team manager as the department grows.
Day-to-day you will create detailed CAD models, technical drawings and assembly documentation. You will help refine product layouts, plumbing interfaces and wetroom detailing, ensuring that all designs are accurate, buildable and compliant with relevant building regulations. The work will include preparing installation guides, supporting design reviews and coordinating with production to ensure smooth handover into manufacture. Experience working on bathroom, wetroom, plumbing or construction-related products will be important for understanding the practical constraints on site.
Key requirements
- Experience working as a CAD Designer within construction, bathroom/wetroom design or a related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks
- Understanding of domestic plumbing layouts, wetroom design and waterproofing principles
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce clear, accurate drawings
- Good communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional teams
