CADagency is delighted to be working with an independent manufacturing company specialising in the design and production of bespoke point-of-sale (PoS) displays. Based in Chesham, they cater to a diverse range of clients, primarily within the beauty sector, delivering innovative and high-quality display solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled PoS Designer to join their expanding design team.
As a Point of Sale Designer, you will work under the direction of the PoS Design Manager, taking ownership of projects from concept to completion. This is a fast-paced role that requires creativity, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to ensure that designs meet both client expectations and manufacturing requirements. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure design briefs are completed accurately and on time while developing and presenting creative PoS display concepts using 3D CAD software. The role involves taking approved concepts and producing 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and artwork for printing. Ensuring cost-effective designs while identifying cost-saving opportunities is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, you will conduct sample testing, maintain clear project documentation, and handle design amendments based on feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage design projects for specific clients from conception to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Develop and present PoS display concepts using SolidWorks and Adobe Illustrator, producing 3D models, DXF files, and artwork for printing.
- Ensure designs are functional, cost-effective, and compliant with client and health & safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to refine concepts, conduct sample testing, and make necessary design amendments.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Adobe Illustrator, including setting up artwork and cutter guides.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down designs for efficient manufacturing and assembly.
- Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and organisational skills, with a structured approach to documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
