CADagency is delighted to be working with an independently owned commercial catering design consultancy based in Chipping Norton. Our client specialises in the design and delivery of commercial catering environments, supporting projects ranging from small coffee bar installations through to full restaurant refurbishments across education, leisure, hospitality and B&I sectors. Due to an increased workload, they are now looking to recruit a CAD Designer to join their in-house team.
As a CAD Designer, you will be based in the office and will support the design team in producing detailed technical drawings and visual design proposals for commercial catering projects. You will work closely with designers and project managers, contributing to the development of creative layouts and ensuring designs are accurately translated into working drawings and 3D visuals. The role will involve managing your own workload, working to deadlines and supporting projects from concept stage through to client approval.
You will be responsible for producing working drawings using AutoCAD, creating and amending 3D visuals using SketchUp and rendering software, and assisting with the pricing and sourcing of materials, products and services. You will collaborate with the wider design team to develop creative solutions and will also support with the preparation of design proposals. There is an element of involvement with updating digital content, including visuals used for presentations and marketing purposes.
Key skills and experience include a background or qualification in design or a related discipline, strong visual and spatial awareness, and the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced studio environment. Experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp is desirable, with additional exposure to rendering software or Adobe Suite beneficial, although training can be provided. You should be comfortable communicating with internal teams, managing multiple tasks and taking ownership of your work. A full UK driving licence is required due to the office location.
The role is full-time and office based, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The salary range for this position is £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience, with 33 days holiday including bank holidays and a pension scheme.
