CADagency is delighted to be working with a global design and engineering consultancy based in Bradford. Our client delivers sustainable, future-focused solutions across sports, environment, residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth within their development and regeneration team, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Town Planner to join their office-based team, with hybrid working considered.

As a Town Planner, you will assist the Development Director, Head of Development and Senior Planner in preparing pre-application and full planning application submissions for a range of regeneration and development projects. These include recreational areas, sports facilities, residential developments, commercial sites and urban environment projects. You will be expected to contribute creatively to problem solving, engage with colleagues across the wider business and help deliver well-considered planning strategies.

You will attend site visits across the UK and work directly with clients to understand and support their aspirations. The role will involve providing input into planning and development advice, discussing project requirements with internal technical teams, writing planning reports and liaising with sub-consultants. You will also prepare draft proposals for client approval and assist in organising and contributing to public and key stakeholder consultations.

  • A relevant degree accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute
  • Chartered membership of the RTPI or be working towards chartership
  • Ideally two or more years post-qualification experience, although this is not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage your own workload, including applications, research and supporting senior team members
  • A full UK driving licence

A DBS certificate would also be beneficial, although this can be arranged for the successful candidate.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:00, primarily office-based with site visits required. Hybrid working may be considered. The salary on offer is £30,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

In addition to salary, our client offers a comprehensive benefits package including company pension, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, life insurance, health and wellbeing programmes, cycle to work scheme, financial planning services, EV charging on site, free parking and regular company events.
