CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist steel frame construction business based in Crewe. Our client designs and delivers steel framed buildings across agricultural and commercial sectors and is looking to strengthen its in-house design capability.
As a Tekla Draughtsman / Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate steelwork models and detailed drawings for manufacture. You will work closely with the Lead Draughtsman and wider internal team, supporting projects from design through to fabrication information.
The role will focus on structural steel detailing using Tekla Structures. You will produce models, fabrication drawings and associated technical information for a range of steel framed building projects. The position is primarily office based and does not require regular visits to fabricators or site.
Our client is open on level and would consider both junior and experienced applicants. Previous Tekla experience would be preferred, although candidates with Advance Steel experience will also be considered and training can be provided.
Key skills and experience:
- Experience using Tekla Structures or Advance Steel
- Structural steel or steel frame detailing experience
- Ability to produce accurate fabrication and manufacturing drawings
- Good understanding of design for manufacture
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a small technical team
The role is ideally fully office based in Crewe. Some flexibility may be available for up to two days working from home where required.
