CADagency is delighted to be working with a manufacturer of aluminium solutions for retail spaces, exhibitions and commercial interiors. Due to on-going high demand we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Production Designer to produce accurate and detailed CAD models & technical drawings for the manufacture of products & bespoke requirements against customer focussed design briefs. You will be liaising with multiple departments, being the key design contact on live projects with Sales (and sometimes customers), Project Management, Procurement, Production & Installation teams.
On a daily basis you will be generating detailed drawing packs for both customer sign-off and production. You will need to understand the differences in communicating drawing detail to customers and for production. You will take project ownership and full understanding to facilitate communication across sales, production and installation teams. Create production detail design from design briefs or concepts, modifying and updating existing drawings as required.
You will be working with the SolidWorks PDM Vault to ensure revision-controlled drawing detail.
For this role you will need four years experience with SolidWorks and a broad range of design and process experience with aluminium profile, sheet metal fabrication, tubular fabrication & welding.
