CADagency is delighted to be working with a well-established construction and joinery manufacturing group that specialises in producing high-quality wooden windows, doors, and gates for both residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Joinery CAD Technician to join their team. This role will involve producing detailed pre-production drawings and cutting sheets, conducting on-site surveys, and ensuring designs are ready for manufacture. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of joinery, be confident working independently, and be able to hit the ground running.
As a Joinery CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD software, ensuring all designs align with both client specifications and manufacturing capabilities. You will work closely with the workshop team to produce clear cutting lists and technical details, ensuring production runs smoothly. The role will also involve conducting on-site surveys, taking precise measurements, and translating them into production-ready designs. A strong understanding of timber joinery manufacturing processes is essential, along with the ability to resolve technical challenges throughout the design and production phases.
To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a joinery or woodworking environment. Proficiency in CAD software is essential, and experience with site surveying and translating measurements into accurate working drawings will be highly beneficial. A strong technical understanding of joinery and the ability to work independently from day one will be key to success in this role.
