CADagency is delighted to be working with a multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy with offices across the UK. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative transport planning solutions, they support sustainable development by producing highway designs, transport assessments and technical approvals for major projects.
You will be joining the Transport Planning team, working alongside project managers and senior colleagues to prepare drawings that support planning applications and technical approvals. The role involves producing concept highway layouts and junction designs, reviewing site layouts with vehicle tracking, and developing preliminary access strategies for residential and commercial schemes. You will also prepare drawings for Section 184 approvals, contribute to the updating of company drawing standards, and liaise with both internal teams and external stakeholders. In addition, there will be opportunities to mentor colleagues and take part in occasional site visits.
You will ideally be based at the clients Cambridge offices but with offices in Bristol, Cheltenham, Bedford and Manchester, there is the possibility to be based from any. The role will be hybrid basis and collaborate closely with the team. For candidates not local to these locations, there is also the option to work fully remotely, with travel to offices or sites arranged as required.
- Experience preparing highway layouts and junction designs within a transport planning or highways design environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and vehicle tracking software
- Knowledge of relevant standards including MfS, DMRB and LTN1/20
- Ability to work methodically, manage your workload and maintain high levels of accuracy
