CADagency is delighted to be working with a leading company in the smart heating solutions sector, based in North West London. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join their team.
As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing 2D floor plan layouts for both electrical and hydronic heating systems. You will produce design, construction, and as-built drawings, along with heat output tables and system specification bills of materials based on area measures and layout drawings. You will collaborate with colleagues in estimation and sales to ensure design requirements are met, such as the placement of thermostats, manifolds, and pipe flow/return routing.
You should have:
- Proficiency in AutoDesk AutoCADLT and/or AutoCAD
- The ability to scale drawings and produce area measures from 2D floor plans using AutoCADLT
- 1-2 years of experience in an estimation and design team (desirable)
- Knowledge of UK/European building regulations, mechanical and electrical fit-out (advantageous, but training will be provided)
- Experience with specifying floor heating systems (desirable, but training will be provided)
- Ability to speak foreign languages such as French, Spanish, German, or Portuguese (beneficial)
This is a full-time office-based role, with core hours from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £30,000, depending on your experience. However, the company is also open to considering candidates with less experience who are eager to develop their skills through training and self-learning.
