CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist joinery manufacturer based near Penrith in Cumbria. The company produces high-quality bespoke timber windows and doors, working closely with architects, installers, and surveyors to ensure all products meet client expectations.
We are now seeking a Technical Sales Estimator to join the team. This is a varied role combining estimating, CAD and customer communication responsibilities. You’ll be working alongside in-house surveying staff, production teams and the General Manager to support quotations, design reviews, and customer interactions across the UK.
The role will suit someone with a strong technical background in joinery particularly windows and doors and experience using quotation and CAD software. You’ll need to be confident communicating with both shop-floor staff and customers, with a willingness to travel to customer sites when needed.
Responsibilities
- Producing detailed quotations using window and door estimating/quotation and CAD software (e.g. JoinerySoft JMS, AutoCAD)
- Liaising with customers to clarify requirements and specifications
- Supporting the General Manager on operational matters and partner relationships
- Reviewing survey data and coordinating with internal surveyors and production teams
- Attending occasional site visits to assist with customer support
Key Requirements
- Experience of joinery and/or window and door products
- Familiarity with quotation and design software such as JoinerySoft JMS or AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills across teams and with external clients
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for customer support
You’ll be based at the company’s head office near Penrith, working a flexible 4-day week (Mon – Thurs) with 23.5 days holiday including bank holidays. A company vehicle will be available for work-related travel. A future bonus scheme is also planned.
