CADagency is delighted to be working with a design-led manufacturer of premium commercial products that supplies projects across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Technical Product Engineer to join their team at their Stockport office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that combines product design, engineering and manufacturing, where you will play a key role in maintaining the technical information behind an expanding product range. The role would suit someone who enjoys working with engineering documentation, CAD data and product compliance while collaborating with design, manufacturing and commercial teams.

As a Technical Product Engineer, you will be responsible for owning and maintaining the technical definition of the product range, ensuring products are fully documented, compliant, manufacturable and accurately represented throughout their lifecycle. You will produce and maintain manufacturing drawings, technical documentation and product specifications while supporting product development and continuous improvement.

Day-to-day you will create and update engineering drawings, bills of materials and revision-controlled documentation. You will maintain BIM, Revit and CAD libraries, prepare installation, assembly and maintenance guides, support product testing and certification, manage technical files and assist with product master data within the ERP system. You will also provide engineering support to both the Product Development and Solution Design teams and produce basic product renders and technical visuals where required.

You will work closely with colleagues across product development, compliance, manufacturing, marketing and design to ensure products meet quality, regulatory and commercial requirements.

To be considered for the role you should have:

  • Experience producing engineering drawings, technical documentation and manufacturing information
  • Strong SolidWorks experience
  • Revit experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience managing bills of materials, revision control and technical files
  • Good understanding of Design for Manufacture principles
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency, with Sage 50 experience beneficial
