CADagency is delighted to be working with a fast-growing design and manufacturing company specialising in bespoke interior architectural metalwork and external facade systems. With an energetic and collaborative team culture, they’ve grown rapidly to £5m turnover in recent years and are now preparing for their next phase of expansion, including the launch of a new product range.

We’re helping them recruit a Senior Technical Design Engineer to lead on project delivery from concept through to manufacture.

This is a full lifecycle role covering early client discussions and site surveys / audits through to technical compliance, manufacturing liaison and installation support. You’ll be expected to work closely with sales, compliance and production teams, as well as attend site visits to ensure drawings are accurate and buildable. Prior experience within architectural metalwork or building façades will be essential.

You’ll take ownership of projects from initial brief and technical site audits through to fully compliant fabrication drawings. Working closely with internal departments, external contractors and architects. You’ll ensure all drawings meet client expectations and industry standards. The role includes interpreting interior design and architectural specifications, resolving buildability issues and supporting product development and documentation for new systems.

You’ll ideally be based near their Faversham offices, with hybrid working available.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in architectural metalwork, façades, or similar bespoke construction manufacturing sectors
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp or Inventor would be a bonus
  • Confident producing manufacturing-ready drawings and managing technical compliance
  • Comfortable with client-facing work, site visits and cross-department collaboration
