CADagency is delighted to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturer of adjustable furniture for the healthcare and residential markets. With a strong in-house design and development team, they produce innovative, compliant products ranging from air-assisted bed systems to accessible seating.
We’re helping them recruit a Product Designer to lead on the early-stage development of new products. You’ll work closely with the Product Development Manager and Design Engineer in the team.
This is a full lifecycle role with a strong emphasis on front-end concept development. You’ll be responsible for sketching, SolidWorks modelling and producing 3D visuals and design documentation. You’ll also liaise with suppliers on materials and finishes, support prototype development and contribute to compliance testing. Project management and cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing and manufacturing teams will also be part of the day-to-day.
You’ll take ownership of product concepts, ensuring each design strikes the right balance between clinical function, aesthetic appeal and user comfort. This will include everything from full bed systems and chairs through to accessories such as handsets and surrounds.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering or similar
- Strong SolidWorks skills and experience in 3D visualisation
- Practical mindset with knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Confident creating sketches, mood boards and visual design presentations
- Able to support testing and compliance documentation for medical products
- Previous experience working across the full product development lifecycle
