CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist in architectural partitioning and fire screen systems based in Leeds. Our client is looking to recruit an AutoCAD Technician to support the design and delivery of projects within their architectural fire screens team.
As an AutoCAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing production drawings and technical details for manufacture and installation, working from site surveys and architectural drawings. Reporting to the Firescreens Manager, you will manage the initial design stage and prepare accurate technical documentation to meet customer and project requirements.
You will work closely with the contracts team, subcontractors, external account managers and architects, providing technical advice and resolving drawing queries. The role also involves purchasing or coordinating the purchase of materials required for each contract, maintaining accurate records of project correspondence and capturing customer feedback to support ongoing improvements.
You will need a working knowledge of AutoCAD, a good understanding of technical drawings and strong attention to detail. Clear communication skills are essential, as you will be coordinating technical information with colleagues and external contacts throughout the design process.
Experience within construction, partitioning or interiors would be advantageous. Our client would also welcome a background in metalwork, balustrades or architectural detailing, particularly where you have produced drawings for manufacture and installation.
The salary for this role is £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
