CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist electrical contractor based in Bromsgrove. Our client delivers electrical design and installation services across commercial and industrial projects, including retail premises, distribution centres and manufacturing facilities. They are looking to recruit an Electrical CAD Technician to support their project workload.
As an Electrical CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing and updating electrical layout drawings using AutoCAD. You will work from architects’ drawings and technical information supplied by the project team to prepare electrical drawing overlays, incorporate revisions and produce accurate as-built drawings.
You will liaise with project managers, architects and site engineers to clarify drawing requirements, resolve queries and ensure drawings reflect project changes and installation information. You will manage your drawing workload to meet project deadlines and maintain accuracy across revisions.
You will need strong AutoCAD skills and experience producing electrical drawings within building services or electrical contracting. You should be comfortable interpreting architectural layouts and electrical information, with the attention to detail needed to produce clear, accurate drawings.
You will also need good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently while keeping colleagues informed of progress and any outstanding information required.
The role is focused on AutoCAD drawing production. Revit and BIM experience are not required.
The salary is circa £45,000 per annum. This is an office-based role in Bromsgrove, working 37.5 hours per week.
