CADagency is delighted to be working with an independent design and construction consultancy specialising in projects within the food, drink, and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors. They provide end-to-end solutions for clients looking to move, expand, or future-proof their production facilities. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Construction Designer to join their design team.
As a Construction Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings and construction-ready plans. You will work closely with the estimating and operations teams to ensure technical designs meet project requirements, regulations, and client expectations. The role involves creating detailed schematics, building plans, and space planning layouts while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations. You will also collaborate with mechanical and electrical contractors to integrate M&E design elements, maintain cost efficiency by value-engineering designs, and develop detailed risk assessments. Additionally, this role offers opportunities for career progression into senior and leadership positions within the team.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, with experience in construction and technical design.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction processes.
- Ability to create detailed schematics and technical drawings for various aspects of a project.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail in design implementation.
