BIM Manager

Job Location: London
Minimum Salary: £55000
Maximum Salary: £60000
Software: Revit
CADagency Reference: DT940
Job Category: Construction

CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist subcontractor based in Bermondsey, London, delivering high-specification stone and tiling packages within the commercial fit-out market. Our client works closely with leading contractors and architects on technically demanding projects, with a strong reputation for delivering quality finishes to tight programmes. Due to continued growth and a move to bring BIM capability fully in-house, they are now looking to recruit an experienced BIM Manager to join the design department.

As a BIM Manager, you will be responsible for leading the BIM side of the business and taking ownership of digital coordination across specialist finishes projects. This is a new position within the design team, reporting directly to the Head of Design, and will suit someone who is confident working independently in a hands-on BIM role. You will ensure designs are implemented accurately within the BIM model, with all finishes, build-ups and junctions fully coordinated and compliant with ISO 19650 standards.

You will manage and maintain BIM models for tiling and stone fit-out packages, ensuring accuracy, coordination and compliance with project BIM protocols. The role will involve developing, editing and integrating Revit families across projects, managing clash detection and resolution with other trades and consultants, and maintaining model integrity in line with project-specific BIM Execution Plans. You will also manage COBie data requirements, work across multiple Common Data Environments and attend BIM kick-off, coordination and clash detection meetings.

Working closely with the wider design team, you will help set BIM standards, streamline internal processes and ensure digital information is accurate and coordinated for project delivery. As this function has previously been outsourced, this role offers the opportunity to build and shape BIM capability internally and become the key point of responsibility for BIM across the business.

You should have:

  • A degree or technical qualification in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction or Architectural Technology
  • Strong previous experience in a similar BIM Manager or BIM Coordinator role, either with a main contractor or subcontractor
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience working on complex construction projects
  • Strong Revit skills including family creation, editing, scheduling and model management
  • Experience using Navisworks and Revizto for clash detection and coordination
  • Proven experience working within Common Data Environments such as Asite, Oracle Aconex and Autodesk BIM 360
  • A strong working knowledge of BIM standards and ISO 19650, ideally with certification
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
