CADagency is delighted to be working with a leading company in the design and manufacturing sector, specialising in urban infrastructure solutions. They are seeking an experienced 3D Design Engineer to join their team, based locally to Battle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative products and design projects, using Autodesk Inventor.
As a 3D Design Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing version and access control of CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoDesk Vault. You will work closely with external modellers and coordinate product design projects, collaborating with internal teams, including technical specification, quality control, and graphic design teams, to ensure seamless processes for version control, access control, and change management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage version and access control of CAD drawings using AutoDesk Vault.
- Coordinate product design projects with external modellers and internal teams to ensure consistency across designs and documents.
- Work with the team to implement clear and simple processes for version control and change control.
- Update standard drawings, technical specification documents, and ensure QC processes are followed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure designs meet technical requirements and are aligned with the overall project goals.
- Support the creation of technical specifications and documentation for product designs.
Key Skills
- Extensive experience using Autodesk Inventor for 3D product design.
- Knowledge of injection moulding and sheet metal fabrication.
- Structural engineering experience is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of version and access control for CAD drawings and technical documentation using AutoDesk Vault.
