Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a timber supplier based in Newport. They also offer made-to-measure roof trusses, floor i-beams and specialist bespoke joinery services. Due to continued investment into the business, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Joinery Project Manager.

For this role, you will be involved in maintaining existing customer accounts and developing new business for the in-house joinery workshop. This role is a commercial and creative role dealing with contractors, developers, local
councils and the general public.

You will ideally have some previous experience with timber products and systems and joinery methods or have worked extensively in the contraction sector. You will need an understanding of product compliance with relevant regulations (building, fire regulations etc.).

A part of the role will see you creating CAD drawings for the workshop and to present solutions to customers. You will be an excellent communicator with people at all levels including shop floor staff and commercial clients. There will also be an element of scheduling and pricing although there are other members of the team that will help.

The role also has the opportunity to develop towards future product development based on market requirements.

The role is predominately office based, however, you will be expected to travel to construction projects in order to complete measurements and site meetings.
