Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a well-established Interior Specialist Company committed to delivering flawless construction projects within the Retail Shopfitting sector. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a Joinery CAD Technician with previous experience in the manufacturing design sector ideally within joinery or shopfitting.
For this role, you will be joining an existing design team, reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, and you will be undertaking a varied role offering you the opportunity to see a project through from site surveys through to design, construction and setting out.
Our client uses Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD but they are happy to consider candidates with SolidWorks experience too.
For this role you will be required to have a detailed knowledge with joinery standards and previous experience working in a similar role. You will need the ability to process new information quickly and attention to detail is required.
On a daily basis you will assist in production of setting out bespoke 2D/3D manufacturing working drawings and producing cutting cards & requestions for manufacturing. There will also be an element of setting out and store development layouts as well as M&E layouts.
For site surveys, you will be using 3D laser survey equipment and plotting data points.
You will work closely and collaborate with Contract Managers, Estimators and Joinery Managers on all projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
