Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with one of the UKs leading Events production companies who specialise in the design of temporary structures for events. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Technician with previous experience in the design and build sector.

For this role you will be using 2D and 3D AutoCAD software to produce construction and fabrication drawings as well as bills of materials for staging, grandstands and bespoke temporary structures.

As part of this role, you will calculate loads and stresses on different parts of the temporary structures as well as ensuring designs/detailing created with the upmost accuracy. All projects must meet building codes (Eurocode standards). You will choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications and must have a good understanding of structural systems and construction drawings/details.

Although not essential, experience using Robot Structural Analysis would be very advantageous as well as any previous knowledge of the entertainment/scaffolding sectors.
