Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a transport planning and highway engineering consultancy with offices around the UK. Our client focuses on working within the property development sector.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a CAD Technician to work at their Birmingham offices. For this role, you will have at least three years design experience, preferably in Highway Design or within a transport planning practice. You will be joining the technical team and be responsible for the production of preliminary highway and junction design layouts using AutoCAD and the production of other design drawings such as car parks, bus stations, footways and cycle routes. You will ideally have a good working knowledge of AutoTRACK – a piece of vehicle swept path software.

You will also be producing report figures using various software packages including CorelDRAW.

• Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (priority, roundabouts, signalisation)
• Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack
• Preparation of high quality graphics using GIS packages and/ or Corel Draw
• Excellent communication skills; and good levels of numeracy and literacy
