Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing company based in Edinburgh offering their products around the UK and globally. Their main sector are Oil & Gas, Mining, Power Generation and Civil Infrastructure. Their products replace traditional suspended scaffolding for under deck working areas with suspended platforms with zero contact points. This cuts cost and delays for clients and  is regarded as a truly innovative product.

For this role you will be joining a small design team and report to the Design Manager. You will be doing far more than just drawing temporary works solutions. You will liaise with clients about the requirements for each project, either virtually or a site visit and then deliver a suitable solution.

The project will start with providing a quote for the companies system that you will have designed and work with the sales team to win the work. Any experience with sales presentations and 3D animations would be beneficial. You will then work with the manufacturing team to ensure projects are completed to the correct standard and timeline.

This is a full office based role and travelling to clients sites will be required. A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle is required although company pool vehicle or expenses paid for any site visits.

You will be joining a relaxed and informal environment where you are encouraged to be innovative in order to solve clients’ problems. You will need to be adaptable to the quick changing landscape of the company and you must enjoy fast-paced change.

You will be working with Autodesk Inventor but experience with similar software such as SolidWorks is accepted too. Most of our clients structural drawings are received in Revit format and training will be offered.
