Job description
CADagency are delighted to be working alongside a leading supplier of architectural metalwork to the construction industry. Their custom manufactured products include Staircases, Balustrades, Handrails, Balconies, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Designer with previous experience using Tekla or Advance Steel. Our client uses both software and experience with either as well as AutoCAD is desirable. You will ideally come from the architectural metalwork sector although training can be given.
The role will be based in their Nottingham offices and they have on-site manufacturing facilities. You will be working closely with the sales and manufacturing teams and excellent communication skills are required to liaise with all members of the team. You will be working to ensure projects are carried out as per clients instructions so an element of project management will be present too.
You will be joining a small team of three other CAD Designers and your tasks will mainly involve producing design and detail drawings for manufacture. You will also be expected to on occasion conduct site surveying and measurements. You will also meet clients on surveys to establish exact requirements and ensure measurements are taken correctly.
Although you will be working as part of a team, you must have the ability to work independently. You will follow and maintain the Design Office procedures and records and have good Microsoft Office skills too.
