Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a family run, Steel Framed Building design, fabrication and installation company based in Kidderminster. Working on projects around the UK, they specialise in agricultural, industrial, storage and sports steel framed units.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for an in-house Tekla Designer with previous experience in steel structures. Our client is currently using a outsourced CAD resource for their drawings but is now looking to bring this in-house. This will be an office based role with some flexibility for home working around twice a week.

There will be the requirement to visit sites and work closely with surveyors to further understand projects and the scope of works so a full UK drivers licence is required.

For this role, you will be working from initial contact with the client to full understand the buildings requirements and constraints to producing working drawings using Tekla for client approval. You will them produce fabrication, material requirements and order as well as fabrication drawings for the shop floor team. These drawings will then be used for the installation teams and you will be required to make amendments as projects develop and progress.
