Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with an industry leading retail design and manufacturing company based in Wetherby. Established for over 25 years and now employing of over 50 skilled craftspeople, equipped with the latest technology and equipment.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Designer. You will be reporting to the Senior Technical Design Manager.
For this role, you will create technical drawing packs and visuals that will be used by the factory and external suppliers. You will use SolidWorks to build retail environments (windows, interiors & fixtures) followed by creating technical drawings and production presentations for the production team. This will require you to liaise closely with the factory and Project Managers.

You will need to interpret client briefing and design projects by creating and developing solutions.

There is also the requirement that you will carry out and organise site surveys and communicate the outcome to the relevant contact. For this reason, you are required to have a full UK drivers licence.

Once the design phase is complete you may be needed, from time-to-time, to be on-site to participate on installations and oversea works. This will ensure the project is finalised as per the drawings.

Any previous experience in the Retail Interiors or Product Design sectors would be highly beneficial for this role but excellent client facing communication skills are required. You will have the ability to proficiently convey technical, creative, written and verbal ideas and be passionate about design with solid management and organisational skills.

Finally, you are required to have proficiency using software such as SolidWorks, Keyshot, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite.

Working Hours

08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday

08:30 – 16:00 Friday
