Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a lighting design company based in Worsley, Salford. They specialise in the domestic lighting sector and create one off contemporary and classical bespoke products for the volume markets.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Junior SolidWorks Designer with up to 5 years experience in the manufacturing or product design sector. Previous experience with lighting or homeware would be beneficial but not a requirement. For this role you will be working on domestic lighting, creating 3D designs for client and internal approval taking into account cost and manufacturing limitations.
You will create technical drawings and Bills of Material for bespoke ranges and then work closely with the manufacturing partners to ensure samples are received to specification.
The role will also involve research and preparing mood boards too.
Proficiency Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator would advantageous too but they are happy to offer additional training on the software.
