Job description

CADagency are delighted to be working alongside the UK’s biggest design and manufacturer of aluminium and LED-based solutions for retail spaces and exhibitions based in Manchester. Working with the some of the biggest retails, our client prides themselves on exceptional services at all stages of their projects. Their products are used in various retail displays, exhibitions and events.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Designer ideally with a background working in the manufacturing sector. You will be working within the design team reporting to the design manager and liaising with multiple departments, being the key design contact on live projects.

For this role you will be creating detailed CAD models and technical drawings for manufacture of both bespoke and client products. You will ideally have an understanding of sheet metal fabrication and have previous experience in a retail design or exhibition industry.

You will need a minimum of 5 years SolidWorks experience working in a manufacturing environment. Although other similar software experience such as Autodesk Inventor will be considered. You will need to be comfortable working in a client focussed environment and have a strong level of knowledge across a broad range of production for both design and processes.

Experience in Electrical and/or LED experience would be highly advantageous.
