Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing signage, digital displays and external facades for major branding, architectural and infrastructure projects. Our client is based in East Kilbride and we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Designer with previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

For this role, you will have at least three years experience using SolidWorks and excellent project management skills. You will engage with senior managers regularly, reporting on project status, activities, and achievements. You will need to be able to work collaboratively within projects, design, and production.

Previous experience designing bespoke products that coordinate with other systems or componentry is required as well as the ability to develop 3D models & drawings from a design brief either verbal, written or sketched.

You will also be required to have experience working to design standards set by others and understanding and make amendments to existing models and drawings.

A working knowledge of sheet metal materials and manufacturing processes would be highly beneficial as well as an understanding of laser cutting, turret punching, CNC Routing, welding, fabrication and assembly.
