Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a fabrication company based in Towcester. Our client specialised in designing and manufacturing motorsport components. Due to on-going high demand, we are helping them to recruit a SolidWorks Design Engineer with previous experience in the fabrication sector.

For this role, you will be working to design bespoke sub assemblies of parts, working from customer drawings or quotes to tight tolerances. You will be designing with multiple metals including titanium, steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Previous experience in the motorsport, aerospace or industrial sector would be beneficial.

You will also be expected to design JIGS and fixtures for fabrication and CNC manufacturing. You will need to be able to interpret engineering drawings and liaise directly with customers to solve problems and provide solutions.

As the SolidWorks Design Engineer you will be required to reverse engineer products and produce technical drawings too.

Finally, previous experience within a CNC manufacturing and welding environment would be advantageous.
