Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist HGV bodybuilders based in Sheffield. Our client is has on-site design, manufacturing and testing functions enabling them to offer a full turnkey service to customers all over the UK.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Design Engineer. For this role, you will ideally have previous experience with steel fabrication drawings. You will be interpreting design specifications and client drawings to produce 3D SolidWorks models, general layout, assembly and detail drawings in line with project requirements and design standards.

You will ideally have experience using SolidWorks for mechanical engineering and ideally have experience in the sheet metal and fabrication environment. You will need to possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques in a bespoke manufacturing environment.

You will be a positive contributor to the ongoing development of the product range and have  good time management skills and high work ethics.

Any previous experience with commercial vehicle manufacturing design, especially in relation to bodybuilding, trailer building and chassis engineering would be highly beneficial.
