Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with design and manufacturing company based in Portsmouth. Our client specialises in wastewater treatment units in the industrial, commercial, and domestic sectors. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Design Engineer with experience in the manufacturing/engineering sector.

You will be working as part of their design team reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will be working with clients to bring the 2D component drawings into 3D CAD modules. This will be followed by ensuring projects are manufactured correctly and communicating with any external teams.

Other duties include;

• Ordering and expediting component delivery
• Structure BOM’s for all products and projects
• Design concept generation sketches through to batch manufacturing

Experience/Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a manufacturing/engineering environment for a minimum of 2 years with experience of 3D CAD/2D SolidWorks, AutoCAD and possess a full UK driving licence.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as well as a good understanding of the manufacturing and treatment plant engineering process knowledge is desirable.
