Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing company based in Coventry. Our client specialises in cooling systems for the commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks Design Engineer. For this role, you will be interpreting design specifications and client drawings to produce 3D SolidWorks models, general layout, assembly and detail drawings in line with project requirements and design standards.

Your primary role will be to support the Senior Designer in producing drawings ready for manufacture. You will be assisting in the sales process to quote for and win projects based on new and non-standard equipment. You will work closely with the engineering departments to ensure projects are carried out in a timely and cost-effective way.

Other duties will also include, producing standardised drawings for all standard option coolers and components. You will also be required to produce material requirement lists and liaise with suppliers and production team to ensure any issues are resolved as quickly and effectively as possible.

You will need to have previous work experience with SolidWorks ideally in a manufacturing environment. Experience with AutoCAD 2D would also be beneficial.

Any previous experience with HVAC systems would be highly advantageous.
