Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working alongside a specialist coachbuilding and manufacturing business based in Colchester. The company provides high quality engineered solutions for outside broadcast, medical facilities, hospitality, power generation and retail businesses. As coachbuilders they mainly design and manufacture HGV bodies with bespoke applications such as accommodation, retail experiences and mobile medical units.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a SolidWorks Design Engineer with mechanical design experience. You will be working with SolidWorks to create bespoke solutions for clients needs. You will be liaising directly with clients to fully understand their requirements. You will then work off either existing CAD models or create bespoke solutions from 3D models through to accurate manufacturing drawings. With each clients needs being unique you will be adaptable and able to learn new skills.
A key part of the role is finding solutions. You will need a problem solving mind as you will be a part of a small design team.
Previous experience in a Mechanical Design role with excellent SolidWorks skills are required. A keen interest in automotive or coachbuilding would be highly advantageous.
