Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a leading supplier of preformed wood components. Due to on-going high demand they are currently looking to take on an additional member of staff to join the design and manufacturing teams. The machinery the company is currently using is 5 x 5 axis CNC machines 1 x 4 axis and 1x 3 axis machine. They are using SolidWorks for the design work and Mastercam for the CNC programming

Specific Responsibilities

  • Modify all existing CNC programs to ensure that components are being machined as economically and efficiently as possibly
  • Work with existing CNC programmer to create CNC programs for new products
  • Work with our design engineer to create cutting lists from CAD
  • Create Bill of Materials (BoM) from CAD
  • Input Bill of Materials (BoM) into Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system
  • Resolve any Bill of Materials (BoM) queries or errors with production supervisors
  • Updating factory documentation and BoMs to reflect design modifications
  • Maintenance and control of factory documentation and BoMs
  • Liaise with production supervisors and report non-conformance
  • Perform quality inspections on new jobs.

Required Qualification / Experience

  • CAM experience (preferably Mastercam)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and cutting lists
  • Experience working with BOM’s
  • Experience working with MRP system
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment
  • Desirable Qualification / Experience
  • Experience working with production of wooden components
