Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a manufacturing, company based in Cambridge. They specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of server racks and cabinets, modular security cages, micro data centres and wall boxes.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a SolidWorks CAD Designer with previous experience in sheet metal and manufacturing sectors.

For this role you will be using SolidWorks to create detailed drawings of sheet metal parts and fabrication for manufacture and assembly. You will need to have knowledge of welding principals and geometric tolerancing for this role. You will have opportunity to put forward your own ideas/suggestions while offering solutions to problems, alternative design ideas, and recommendations.

You will also need to be able to determine products BOM and maintain within the companies ERP system while liaising with purchasing and provide hands on support during introduction of new and current products for manufacturing.
