Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist retail design company based in Weston-Super-Mare. Our client offers a full end-to-end shop fitting solution including the design, manufacture, and installation of retail stores and commercial spaces for some of the world’s largest sports and luxury brands.

Due to on-going company growth, we are assisting them in recruiting a Revit Technician specifically for Revit Family Construction. This role is not an architectural role but rather to be focused on creating and developing in-house Revit Families of the products they design and manufacture.

You will be working within a small team that is vital for the overall success of the business. You will be regularly be dealing with most departments including sales, project managers and shop floor staff. You will need to develop and overall understanding of the final product to ensure buildability and clients expectations.

For this role you will need to be able to understand production drawings and extract the essential information required. You will then construct Revit Families from scratch using Autodesk Revit 2021 to build parameter-controlled furniture pieces.

You will also be required to create Revit Type catalogues and Look-up tables construction and use. This will involved creating documents to aid communication to others about what has been constructed and how its used.

For this role you will be required to have existing Revit knowledge or similar 3D software. Fundamentally, you will need excellent problem solving capabilities. This is due to what our client builds and the complexities of how it all works. Finding solutions can take creative thinking and the ability to step back and look at it in a different way. Some of the work is repetitive and you have to accept failure in a process to try again.
