Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a national contractor offering construction and engineering services bespoke to the healthcare environment. With over 30 years’ experience in both the private and public sector they offer M&E Building Services and M&E Process Installations.

Due to on-going high demand, for this role as a Revit MEP Technician you will be working with their existing Projects Team, architects, and design engineers to understand the requirements of initial designs and turn them into accurate and detailed technical drawings in 2D and 3D models. You will coordinate and manage CAD drawings and layouts and disseminate to the site construction teams.

This will involve

  • Undertake measured surveys and CAD information to provide accurate base plans and X-Refs.
  • Work with external suppliers/consultants/subcontractors/site teams, obtain their drawing information, exact dimensions for input/update and coordination with the overall project drawings.
  • Update CAD drawings in both 3D and 2D in line with manufacturers information and hand markups.
  • Produce concept layout drawings based on project managers markups or own knowledge.
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings in 2D and 3D and highlight clashes to the project manager for review.
  • Create architectural design and drawings updates and conduct site visits/surveys to update record information or review architectural details.

You will also be required to undertake weekly drawing issues and maintain drawing issue registers for all ongoing projects. Manage and maintain contract design files including record information, proposed drawings, and supply chain information. Build and maintain library of CAD\BIM Blocks for use across projects. Creating guidelines and rule book. This will involve ensuring correct dissemination of drawings and maintenance of drawing issue schedules.

Attend subcontractor, design and client progress meetings and take notes of minutes and actions. Assist/draft design fee proposals incorporate fees from other sub-consultants.

Finally, as a specialist in the healthcare sector, you will be required to develop and maintain knowledge of healthcare legislation; HBN’S and HTMS by reading relevant documentation for Operating Theatres, SSD’s etc.
