Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a leading loft conversion company. Due to ongoing high demand they are looking to take on an additional CAD Designer to work in their existing design team. The company provides a full turnkey product with in house designers, planners and builders.

For this role you will be responsible for the architectural aspect and design of customers loft conversions. You will start a project with an initial non-intrusive survey where you will work closely with the customer to create the best use of space for their conversion. You will offer them multiple layout options until you find one that works perfectly for their requirements. Once the customer is happy with your drawings, you will prepare them ready for submission to the local authority and the structural engineers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Attend customer site surveys
  • Draw out customers existing plans, sections, elevations and proposed loft designs from a pre agreed specification
  • Take all photographs of the customers properties when on-site
  • Upload all documents to relevant systems
  • Cross check all drawings to ensure they conform to customer specifications before sending out
  • Assist with drawing and design queries from customers
  • Working closely with the Pre-Build team

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3 years work experience using AutoCAD
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Willing to learn
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work as a team to complete relevant tasks
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently
  • Customer service focused
  • A passion for Interior design and space planning
  • Full driving licence and vehicle

Working Hours

8:30am – 5:30pm

Monday – Friday (early finish on Friday)

20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing after three years
