Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with an engineering business based in Hatfield. Our client works predominantly within the water industry and specialise in the design and fabrication of ladders, staircases, steel platforms, metal access solutions and pipework. They work from conception through to fabrication and installation. For this role, you will be office based and work closely with clients to understand briefs and survey data. You will then design products that match requirements from existing parts as well as bespoke units and within the clients budget. These drawings will then be sent to the in-house fabricators and you will ensure the manufacturing is carried out correctly.
Our clients has worked with AutoCAD and Inventor in the past but is happy to use SolidWorks going forward too.
On a daily basis, you will be producing detailed drawings, completing marked up drawings, generating material take-offs and creating BOM’s.
You will ideally have a Design Engineering related degree and / or previous experience working within the steel fabrication sector.
As you will be visiting clients sites regularly, you are required to have a full drivers licence and your own car. Millage will be paid for any business travel.
