Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a turnkey MEP contractor & lighting manufacturer. Our client offers mechanical, electrical, & public health design, supply and installation, primarily in retail, industrial, commercial, banking, hospitality, logistics and distribution.
Our client is based in Cheltenham and we are helping them to recruit a full time, office based Mechanical Designer ideally with some HVAC experience. You will be working with AutoCAD and Revit and training can be provided if required.
The role will see you supporting the whole design process for all projects from pre-construction to working drawings. You will also be in regular liaison with clients to manage expectations and design deadlines. There will also be a requirement to attend meeting with clients. A full drivers licence is required.
You will be using AutoCAD to create technical based MEP and HVAC designs from concept through to construction. These will support Pre-Construction team administration for design and build projects.
This will include
- Ductwork & Pipework sizing
- Heat loss & Heat gain calculations
- Ventilation calculations
You will then need to administrate changes and drawing issue registers as well as visit current and prospective sites to conduct surveys.
Finally, you will create detailed mechanical services drawings and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and client specifications.
