Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a manufacturing company who specialising in bespoke machinery for the power generation sector. Our client has their own in-house fabrication workshop which allows them to carry out all aspects of fabrication, sheet metal work/pipework and installations. For this role you will be based at their offices in High Peak.
As a SolidWorks designer you will be working with the Technical and Engineering Managers. You will be required to create accurate and technical 3D models and producing 2D manufacturing and proposal drawings. You will also deal with several different projects in areas such as fabrication, ORC Systems, Special Purpose Machinery, CHP’s & bespoke designs. You will be involved in the early design/concept stages through to manufacturing and installation management.
You will be performing calculations for materials and weight limitations. As well as ensuring final designs are compliant with necessary regulations.
You will need to have worked in an engineering environment and be competent using SolidWorks. Experience of using AutoCAD would be highly beneficial.
