Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a family run manufacturing business based in Thetford. They have over 35 years experience in the design and manufacture handling equipment for the farming sector. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer with SolidWorks experience.
You will be joining the company as the sole designer and previous experience in the machinery / mechanical design sector is essential. You will be working closely with the manufacturing and sales team to ensure projects are completed to cost and inline with client expectations.
You will be creating 3D models and detailed drawings for production using SolidWorks 2018 whilst ensuring quality and safety standards are met. You will regularly be liaising with the Managing Director on design ideas and creating changes to existing models and creating new ones.
Other tasks will include
- Create accurate documentation of projects, project filing & create relevant parts manuals
- Implement, update and maintain accurate records of parts, assemblies & models
- Co-ordinate parts with stores for manufacture
Working hours will be: 08:00 – 17:30 Mon-Thur and 08:00 – 17:00 Fri
