Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a manufacturing company based in Scarborough. Our client designs and manufactures marine, offshore, oil and gas industrial winches and equipment. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their small design team. For this role you will be reporting to the Managing Director and Technical Director and you will ideally have experience within the medium / heavy mechanical engineering environment.
On a daily basis, you will work closely with the sales department to provide tender drawings for clients. After client approval, you will create detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, installation drawings and Bill of Material lists for the production department. You will then liaise closely with the production team to ensure any errors are corrected and solutions are provided in a timely manner.
You will ideally have excellent SolidWorks skills and have used the and stress analysis function. Any experience with stock management systems such as Sage would be highly advantageous.
A BEng / HNC / BTEC in Engineering would be beneficial but is not required. Previous work experience in a similar field, such as winch, crane, industrial gearbox, special machinery and manufacture would be be highly beneficial.
