Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a design, mechanical, electrical and public health contracting services company based in Canterbury, Kent. As a complete turnkey operation with over 250 members of staff they work on multi-million pound projects mainly with mainly major UK construction companies. Their services extend to heating, lighting, ventilation, power and other vital services offering a full design and install package.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for an M&E Design Engineer with a good all-round Mechanical & Electrical Engineering knowledge with a depth of experience in designing / coordinating full projects including HVAC, boiler / plant rooms, water supply, gas, LV systems, lighting, power, fire alarm and other specialist mechanical and electrical services.

This will suit you as someone who is used to being part of a team and taking on full projects from a Mechanical & Electrical perspective as well as you being confident coordinating / designing MEP systems.

You will be joining the existing design /coordination team and you will be responsible for checking drawings being produced by the BIM operatives, adding engineering solutions, providing comments, assisting with coordinating the BIM model, checking design calculations, compliance of scheduled equipment, builders work, assisting contracts managers with technical submittals and selection of kit.

For this role, you will ideally be HNC / HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical and or Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. You will be experienced with BIM and AutoCAD and use of Navisworks.

A proven track record of leading design on whole Mechanical and Electrical services projects as well as ideally experience in Education, Residential, Commercial and Healthcare Sectors.

Due to the location of our clients offices a full UK driving license & access to own vehicle will be required.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday – 07:30 to 17:30

Friday – 07:30 to 16:30
