Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with a specialist mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation service provider specialising in the power, energy from wastewater, petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Technician to join their existing engineering team. You will be reporting to the CAD Manager and assist the manufacturing, sales and external customers.
As part of your role, you will be preparing and issuing detail and GA drawings. You will generate and issue paperwork in accordance with company procedures to execute contracts, i.e requisitions, schedules, works instructions. You will be creating drawings for for tenders as well as manufacturing drawings for the in house fabrication teams.
The role will see you using 2D and 3D AutoCAD on a daily basis to create drawings and works instructions for the factory to use in manufacture. You will be designing bespoke components that may be necessary to complete installation as well as inspect the finished components to ensure that they are correct to specification, as and when required.
As you will be creating notes and records including all design calculations in connection with each design task, you will need good comprehension skills.
Finally, you will also attend customer sites in order to measure existing customer plant and equipment and assess how the anticipated installation work will fit in within the existing infrastructure.
