Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a design and manufacturing company based in West Bromwich. Our client specialises in HVAC solutions primarily for the retail / hospitality and commercial sectors with large blue chip clients around the UK.

Due to on-going demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for an additional Manufacturing CAD Designer to work with within their manufacturing design team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

For this role you will produce technical drawings and manufacturing solutions from concept to installation incorporating designs for manufacture using AutoCAD. This will involve receiving a clients briefs from the sales team and translating it into a design specification. You will then work to produce general arrangements and detailed drawings. This will involve producing 2D detailed part drawing for CNC programming and ensuring the drawings are ready for manufacture. You will then work closely with the fabricators to ensure the drawings are translated correctly.

You will need to keep drawing records and issue sheets and update drawings based on feedback from the manufacturing team. This will involve internal liaison with relevant departments.

There will be an occasional requirement to visit clients sites to carry out site surveys. This will involve meeting the clients and liaising with them to full understand the product requirement.

Finally you will need to comply with Health & Safety legislation and Company procedures. This includes compliance with ISO9001 standard, ISO14001 standard and ISO45001 standard.
