Job description
CADagency is delighted to be working with one of the UKs leading Events production companies who specialise in the design of temporary structures for events. Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting for a CAD Engineer with previous experience in the design and build sector.
For this role you will be using 2D AutoCAD software to produce construction drawings for staging, grandstands and bespoke temporary structures. As well as producing structural calculation packages on Robot Structural Analysis or similar structural modelling software you must have previous experience using this. You will also be choosing the appropriate materials based on structural specifications and must have a good understanding of structural systems and construction drawings/details.
As part of this role, you will creating structural models to predict structural behaviours to ensure they will withstand stresses and pressures imposed through environmental conditions and human use.
You’ll ensure designs/structures remain stable and secure throughout their use as well as ensuring designs/detailing created with the upmost accuracy. All projects must meet building codes (Eurocode standards).
Any previous knowledge of the entertainment/scaffolding sectors would be very advantageous as well as previous experience using 3D AutoCAD software.
