Job description
CADagency is please to be working with a market leading company who specialise in supplying metal products, components and balustrade systems throughout the UK. The company is a family run business with a focus on excellent service. For this role you will be joining an existing design team based in Burnley.
Due to on-going demand they are looking to take on a Junior SolidWorks Designer who is keen, enthusiastic and willing to learn. You will become part of a small, friendly team of technical CAD designers. You will be given training in glass and stainless steel products. You will be keen to grow and develop within the company and you should live within a reasonable commuting distance to the office.
The role will be repetitive to start with and will see you checking details, modifying planes and filing drawings. You will be uploading CAD files to the companies website and speak regularly to suppliers and organise the work needing doing.
Requirements
- A basic understanding of SolidWorks
- A knowledge of SolidWorks PDM Standard/PDM Workgroup would be an advantage
- Be thorough and organised, with an attention for detail
- Ability to read simple technical drawings would be an advantage
