Job description

CADagency is delighted to be working with a high-end joinery company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke interior joinery for high end, luxury residential projects.

Due to on-going high demand, we are assisting them in recruiting a Joinery Design Manager. For this role you will be reporting to the MD and manage the two existing CAD Technicians and shop floor staff. You will be accountable for all design and draughting including workshop, manufacturing and construction drawings.

The role will be based in their new 20,000 sqf workspace in Gillingham. You will be managing the design and draughting team through all phases of projects ensuring all works are delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standard.

You will be working closely with external design teams, architects and contractors and be the point of contact for the joinery technical design, specification and detailing. You will be creating and managing the Bills of Materials as well as review and approve all design and draughting drawings and CNC programs. Finally you will manage drawings and revisions submitted by the CAD Technicians.

You will primarily be working with Inventor but any experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks would be highly beneficial. You will need a minimum of 5 years previous experience in the joinery design sector and be confident in managing a small team. Previous “hands on tools” experience would be beneficial too.
